Minimalist furniture and decor maker BLU DOT decided to place GPS outfitted chairs all over New York in the hopes that people would, well… steal them. They call it “Curb-Mining” but who are we to judge. The “Real Good Experiment” allows the chairs to be tracked…. which seems like a good marketing idea, but honestly, who cares? Do you move more that once a year? is there really a lot to track in the immediate future? Seems like the online equivalent of watching paint dry….
We kept reading the site hoping for an end result, some sort of bigger idea, there isn’t one…
